Security officers apprehend diesel thief in Standerton

Security officers arrested a suspected diesel thief at the Holmdene Vodacom tower on May 30.

According to reports from the SAPS, the suspect gained entry to the premises by breaking the palisade fence.

He then used a crowbar and hammer to open the generator diesel tank and drained out the diesel with a pipe.

The suspect’s red Toyota Etios was filled with diesel drums, totalling up to 250l.

The officers also discovered 11 empty 25l drums at the generator.

Kasselman Security Services apprehended the suspect and recovered the stolen items.
