Educational centre in Delmas donates fruit to seniors

“The joy on their faces was a sight to behold, and we are so grateful to have been able to share in that moment with them.”

The Lappieland Educational Centre in Delmas donated fruit to the Ons Eie Old Age Home in Delmas, spreading joy and nourishment to the elderly residents on July 18 in celebration of Mandela Day.

“Our children also visited the old age home and sang a beautiful rendition of This Little Light of Mine for the senior citizens,” said Magriet Tait, the principal at Lappieland.

“The smiles on their faces were breathtaking as they sang together, creating a moment of pure joy and connection.”

Tait said Lappieland is grateful to every parent who donated fruit to the school.

“Through our parents’ generosity, we, as Lappieland, were able to bring happiness into the lives of the senior citizens of our community on Mandela Day.

“The joy on their faces was a sight to behold, and we are grateful to have been able to share in that moment with them.

“Your contribution has made a real difference in the lives of others, and we are thankful to have parents like you who are committed to making a positive impact.

“As we always say, ‘Today’s children are tomorrow’s future‘. We are proud to be shaping the next generation of compassionate and caring individuals,” Tait concluded.
