First responders keep Standerton safe
Standerton residents can rest assure, knowing that their first responders work together to ensure their safety.
With crime rates on the rise and the Christmas season rapidly approaching, first responders have their hands full to maintain law and order.
“We are privileged to live in a community where EMS, the SAPS and other first responders work together to solve crimes and keep our community safe,” said André Kasselman of Kasselman Security Services.
In emergency cases, teamwork is evident. In previous cases, private security companies, such as Kasselman have worked with the SAPS to bring criminals to justice and ensure the safety of residents.
“Standerton can sleep soundly knowing that our first responders keep a watchful eye no matter where trouble lurks,” added Kasselman.

The AfriForum Neighbourhood Watch has also become a force to be reckoned with in recent months, helping in any way possible on accident scenes.
“It is incredible to see how the Neighbourhood Watch, KSS, the fire department and the SAPS work together to process and clear scenes,” said Shandré van den Heever, chairperson of the AfriForum Neighborhood Watch.
She explained that personal differences do not matter in cases of emergency.
“We all stand and work as one to accomplish the best possible outcomes,” she added.

This cooperation does not end with security institutions, as the community of Standerton stands ready to help in any way possible.
“We commend the doctors, medics, officers and community members who keep us safe. It’s not about us, it is about saving lives,” concluded Van den Heever.
The Standerton Men for Change and Women’s Network will hold a prayer meeting at 09:00 on November 7 at the Potter’s House Church in Ext 6.
This prayer meeting is intended to strengthen local first responders and give them new hope.
“Security entities are welcome to attend and the community is invited to join in on this occasion,” said Captain Braam Robberts, communications officer of the SAPS.
