Haemophilia is a condition wherein someone does not stop bleeding for a long time after being wounded.

This condition puzzled doctors, as they would now have to figure out how to go ahead with the surgery without posing a threat to Hancko’s life.

According to Liesie van der Merwe, Hancko’s grandmother, the Red Cross Children’s Hospital is ensuring Hancko will have enough blood readily available during his surgery.

They also took extra measures to ensure Hancko would not bleed out during the surgery. At this stage, his surgery will be on December 3.
