Athletes enjoy parkrun in Secunda

Become a parkrun volunteer.

The Secunda parkrun drew 176 runners and walkers on November 29. Pieter Janse van Rensburg was the first to complete the 5km run in 20:12. Dumisani Chibanda finished second, Emmanuel Meyer third, and Ndumiso Macqabi fourth.

Nozuko Macqabi was the first woman to cross the finish line in 29:16. Emilia le Roux finished second, and Esteé Ellis third.

Johan Pretorius reached the green club milestone of 250 runs and was the 40th parkrunner of Secunda to achieve this.

The volunteers: Daleen Bezuidenhout, Pieter Bezuidenhout, Jannie Botha, Kobus Botha, Reghardt Botha, Rina Botha, Renette de Sousa, Paul du Plooy, Sophia Grobbelaar, Qenan Jefferies, Reuel Jefferies, Rex Jefferies, Salomé Jefferies, Zedec Jefferies, Hendrik Keyser, Johan Keyser, Fredericka Koekemoer, Ettienne Kotze, Lettie le Roux, Louis le Roux, Dean Moore, Annetjie Pretorius, Celia Reyneke, Colin Thomas, Wicus van Deventer, Margie van Straaten, Fanie van Wyk, Riaan Venter and Hennie Viljoen.
