A fire, suspected to be caused by an electrical fault, destroyed a shack in Extension 22 in eMbalenhle this morning (April 24).

According to Roger Vilakazi, a ward 9 councillor, there was nobody inside of the shack when it caught fire.

Govan Mbeki municipal fire fighters tried to extinguish the fire but everything was already destroyed.
