The Lekwa Local Municipality extends an invitation to businesses, farmers and forums to attend a public participation meeting with regard to the proposed 2026/2027 electricity tariffs.

As outlined in the public notice, the revised tariffs now approved by the National Regulator of South Africa (NERSA) are open for engagement, and stakeholder input remains an important part of the consultation process.

The meeting will take place at the Council Chamber on May 4 at 17:00.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide stakeholders, including businesses, agricultural representatives and community forums, with an opportunity to engage directly with the municipality, seek clarity and submit input on the proposed tariffs.

Your participation will contribute to a more inclusive and formal decision-making process.

Lekwa Local Municipality strongly encourages your attendance.
