NPC wants to open community centre

Get involved to open community centre.

SECUNDA – Johan Heyman, founder of the Real Players, who hosted holiday programmes for children, now wants to open a community centre.

Real Players, registered as a non-profit company (NPC), is already helping a school in Extension 23, Secunda, with agricultural training.

Since the Covid-19 pandemic, Real Players was not able to host any holiday programmes, but Heyman now wants to start again.

His idea with the community centre is to offer skills in gardening, admin, art and life skills. The aim of the community centre is to give back to the community and also give food to elderly people.

Real Players need sponsors to make their dream of a community centre a reality. They plan to host a soccer tournament in Secunda at the end of June.

For more information, or to get involved in this initiative, contact Heyman at 079 746 3021 or Shantell Mellet at 081 663 4686.
