New Hope Social Club in Sakhile brings change

Community can get involved with club in next outreach projects.

New Hope Social Club in Sakhile is making a meaningful impact in the Lekwa municipal area, with a strong focus on uplifting and supporting local residents.

Founded in February 2024, the New Hope Social Club was created by the community, for the community, with a clear mission to give back and improve lives.

The club carried out outreach initiatives on April 17 as part of its ongoing commitment to community development.

The first stop was Early Bird Primary School, located on the outskirts of Lekwa. Following research, a shortage of textbooks was identified

The club donated 50 packs of printing paper to help teachers produce worksheets for learners. The team then proceeded to Chothoza Primary School, where 60 learners were identified as needing proper school shoes.

The club stepped in to address this need, providing essential support to the learners. Both visits were warmly received by the teachers and learners.

At Chothoza Primary School, learners expressed heartfelt gratitude for the help.

Meanwhile, learners at Early Bird Primary School welcomed the club with songs, creating a joyful atmosphere that reflected the spirit of ‘new hope’ being restored in the community.

Japhta Nkabinde, the club chairperson, called on people who share a passion for making a difference to join the initiative.

Nkabinde emphasised that unity is key to expanding the club’s reach and impact, noting that collective effort can bring even greater hope to the people of Lekwa.
