Police net suspected drug dealer in Sakhile

more than 670 Mandrax tablets, more than 4 000 sachets of dagga and a vehicle were seized.

The police, including K9 Unit, a local security company and Secunda DPCI, conducted an intelligence-driven operation on March 20, which led to the arrest of a suspected drug dealer in Sakhile.

According to Captain Mpho Nonyane-Mpe, provincial police spokesperson, the members followed up information received about drug dealing activities in the area.

The police busted the suspect and in his possession more than 670 Mandrax tablets and more than 4 000 sachets of dagga. The vehicle used in the commission of crime was also seized.

The arrested man has been charged with dealing in drugs and dagga and is expected to appear before the Standerton Magistrate’s Court soon.
