Soccer: Remember vs Premeria
Linda Maseko and Alec Majola’s goals help club to move up on log.
eMBALENHLE – Remember Academy collected maximum points at home when they beat Premeria FC 2 to 1 in their Kwa-Sechebo Promotion League encounter at the eHlazweni Ground on Saturday, 15 February.
Premeria got off to a good start with Linda Maseko opening the score in the 23rd minute.
However, their lead was short lived when Remember equalised in the 26th minute through Edson Lebanyana.
Remember doubled their score a few minutes before the break when Alec Majola scored a goal.
Premeria returned from the break a much better side and continued to put pressure on Remember.
Remember on the other hand did not create much of an attack and were constantly thwarted by Premeria’s defence.
In other matches, Sasol Juventus FC and Mbalenhle United FC played to a 2-all draw and Yizo Yizo FC and Young Stars FC played to a goalless draw.
Junior Celtics FC beat Mighty Spears FC 4 to 0, Secunda Celtics lost 2 to 0 against Mighty Stars FC and West United FC also lost 2 to 0 against Sasol Thistle Grove FC.
