Yizo yizo FC gets R5 000 prize
NMr Khehla Mahlangu, Chairman of the Govan Mbeki Local Football Association, urged team couches and owners to consider ladies soccer and visit schools to scout for ladies soccer.
Yizo Yizo Football Club became the 2014/15 champions of the Kwa-Scebo Meat Promotional League on Saturday, 5 July.
They walked away with R5 000 and a floating trophy.
The club had 66 points and Junior Celtics FC (56) came second and in third place was Shinning Stars FC with 55 points.
Mr Khehla Mahlangu, Govan Mbeki LFA, congratulated Yizo Yizo FC and encouraged the team to keep up the good work.
He was sad that the team did not perform well in the play offs during which they were expected to qualify for the SAB League.
“I do not know what the problem was, but I urge the team’s technical team to take the matter serious.”
Mr Ndomela Radebe, Yizo Yizo FC, expressed his gratefulness to his team, the LFA and KwaScebo Meat.
Mr Jafta Manuku, secretary of LFA, tabled his report for the season to the delegates who attended the annual congress at the Sasol Club.
