Die Ruiter's mini netball stars shine with 77 wins from 80 matches

The players celebrated a great season and were praised for their sportsmanship.

Laerskool Die Ruiter’s youngest netball players have delivered an extraordinary season, winning an impressive 77 out of 80 matches across the U7, U8 and U9 age groups.

According to the mini netball organiser and coach, Brownyn-Lee Middleton, every week the girls showed dedication, determination, teamwork and sportsmanship as they faced opponents from schools across the region.

The U7 team played 27 matches and remained unbeaten throughout. They secured 25 victories and recorded two draws. The U8 side was equally impressive, winning 28 of their 29 matches, with just one defeat. The U9 team also delivered a remarkable performance, winning 22 of their 24 games and losing only two.

Bronwyn-Lee said the highlight of the season was the Pep Mini Festival, which was hosted in April at Pinnacle College Ridge View.

“I want to thank all parents, coaches and our supporters for making this season possible. We also got a lot of compliments from other schools saying our girls are very disciplined and play well,” she said.
