A good taste of artworks and gin
Memories by Susan Traut Allin were on display, in memory of her grandson, Blake, who passed away on 5 November at nine months.

Despite the early morning drizzle on Saturday, 5 December, art lovers trickled into the venue from as early as 9.30am for the first Ramkiki Art Exhibition sale starting at 10am.
Although the exhibitors were limited to 25 artists, the event was a success with many sales being done. Some unusual displays such as Goodman Mathebe’s miniature live gardens that come with fertilizer and instructions kept the exhibition alive.
Memories by Susan Traut Allin were on display, in memory of her grandson, Blake, who passed away on 5 November at nine months, as well as Damon, their 12-year-old companion who passed shortly before.
Very interesting concepts from AndrĂ© Swanepoel’s garden sculptures had many art lovers visiting the display and making a number of sales.
Complimentary gin cocktails were served, and along with the oldies music and natural ambience of the venue, a mellow atmosphere was created.
According to the organiser, Susan Traut Allin, the artists who attended the event have already requested a repeat exhibition as a result of the very successful outing.
Susan and Petru le Grange curated the live exhibition in the spacious main dining room at Ramkiki Country Estate in Ruimsig.
