Spreading hope through the love of cats

“Milo is now a big, beautiful adult male cat,” she said.

If Milo, a rescued homeless cat could utter a few words of gratitude, I’m sure it would be to Annatjie van Niekerk who gave him a chance to a proper shelter after being born on the streets.

Animal lover and advocate for feral cats on the West Rand, Annatjie shared a photo of a grown and healthy Milo who was among three little kittens that she rescued and adopted in 2019.
According to Annatjie, who feeds these homeless fur babies, found the little kittens and their mom after they were born under a trolley at a local shopping centre where she regularly fed stray cats.

“Milo is now a big, beautiful adult male cat,” she said.

“On his behalf, we are wishing the entire animal-loving community a prosperous New Year, and may they overcome all the challenges of 2021,” an optimistic Annatjie said.

She concluded by encouraging residents to continue to fight for animal rights as they also deserve love and care from society.
