One arrested in connection with a body found on Ontdekkers Road

The police are currently on a manhunt for two other suspects.

One suspect has been arrested in connection with the body of a man discovered on Ontdekkers Road this morning, October 27.

Police provincial spokesperson Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi confirmed the arrest and said the body of a 21-year-old man was found dumped next to the Witpoortjie Train Station by a passerby.

Nevhuhulwi added that the man had sustained multiple injuries, including bruises to his back and head. The circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation.

Traces of blood were also found on the railway tracks leading to the spot where the body was discovered.

“Preliminary investigations suggest that three suspects were involved. One has been arrested, and the police are on the lookout for the other two,” said Nevhuhulwi.
