Pathways celebrates new chapter with a pop of colour
A Poortview-based non-profit for disabled children invited the community to come and share their joy as they showcased their new premises.
A hop-skip across from their previous premises on Bernard Road, Pathways Roodepoort Centre for Disabled Children opened the doors to their new building to the public on August 5.
The non-profit showcased all the activities and therapies they have to offer to the families and community members who attended the open day and colour walk.

Cheerful music and the smell of hotdogs and candy floss greeted the attendees. Security companies and businesses in the community also stopped by to show their support for the centre. Local businesswoman, Liezl Kleinsmith, brought her hippie van, as well as a face painter to the centre in tribute to her mother.

The staff at Pathways greeted the crowd and performed a beautiful dance number dedicated to the children in their care. Sunette Pretorius then opened the colour run and manned one of the colourful powder-filled buckets along the colour run route.
The community celebrated this new chapter with the Pathways family, leaving the celebrations in a splash of colour and grins all around.
