PRA continues to tackle potholes

As the tar cools and the last few potholes are sealed, the association stands as an example of what proactive citizenship can look like.

Weltevreden Park — The Panorama Residents Association (PRA) has once again demonstrated the power of community action, closing off another successful day of pothole repairs on April 20.

With two tonnes of tar used on the day alone, the PRA has laid down a total of six tonnes over the past week, bringing the area to an impressive 99.9% pothole-free status.

“That’s a massive achievement, and not something every neighbourhood can say.

“It’s thanks to the power of a community that cares and comes together to make a difference,” expresses Michael Steyn, who is the association’s deputy chair.

The PRA expressed gratitude to Sasol on the corner of Jim Fouché Road and Landhuis Street for the continued support, specifically for the use of one of their trailers during the initiative.

“We know not everyone has the time to get hands-on, and that’s okay – you don’t have to. For just R250 per year, you can join the PRA and support initiatives like this that directly improve your everyday life,” Michael shares.
