Addison clinches 3rd place at nationals
Her achievement has left her family and school proud.
Addison Miller, a learner at Crawford International, gave an outstanding performance at the South African National Equestrian Association (Sanesa) Rising Stars Prix Caprilli National Championships recently.
Addison competed against some of the best young equestrians in the nation, and her remarkable abilities were evident when she placed third twice in this fiercely contested event.
Sanesa Nationals is one of the most prestigious equestrian competitions for school-level riders. The Prix Caprilli category, in which Addison competed, is particularly challenging as it combines elements of both dressage and show-jumping. Riders are required to demonstrate precision, control, and mastery of their horses across a variety of tasks that test their ability to ride with both finesse and agility.
According to Lindsay van Boven, the school’s marketing director, Addison’s hard work and determination paid off as she secured an impressive third place in both her tests, especially considering the level of competition she faced. It is clear that Addison’s future in the sport is bright, and her achievements at Sanesa Nationals are just the beginning of what is sure to be a long and successful equestrian career.
“We are incredibly proud of Addison for representing Crawford on this national stage and achieving such success in a highly competitive field. Her accomplishments highlight the level of dedication and talent she brings to her sport,” Lindsay expressed.
Balancing her academic commitments with her equestrian training, Addison has proven that hard work and passion can lead to great achievements. Her performance at nationals not only showcases her talent but also reflects the high level of support and encouragement from her coaches, teammates and family.
