Local chess prodigy brings home bronze
Khodani Nwedo shines at chess championships, earning prestigious medal for Gauteng team.

Khodani Nwedo, a Grade 10 learner from Trinityhouse Little Falls, has made his school and province proud by securing a bronze medal at the Nelson Mandela Bay Chess Union Club League Championships in Gqeberha.
Khodani and his teammates aimed to secure a spot in the top three as they faced competition from top schools.
As part of the Gauteng team, his skills and ability to use his logic played a pivotal role in their impressive performance. This motivated him to lead his team to victory and secure a bronze medal.
This success has not only elevated the school’s chess programme, but also inspired his peers to strive for excellence. The school wishes him good luck for future competitions and looks forward to seeing his continued success both on and off the chessboard.
