Grade 1s ring in new beginnings

Constantia Kloof Primary welcome their Grade Ones at their annual bell-ringing ceremony.

The ceremony is a tradition Constantia Kloof Primary adopted in 2023, where a learner rings the bell, and the sweet sound marks the beginning of their exciting school adventure.

Deputy principal Janine Fleetwood began the ceremony by thanking the parents for their patience, followed by the introduction of each learner called to ring the bell. With big smiles on their faces, each learner excitedly charged to the bell tower and rang it with pride.

“It’s such a lovely morning, watching parents proudly celebrate their little ones becoming part of our family. To top it off, our Grade Sevens waited in a tunnel and clapped for the Grade Ones as they made their way back to their respective classrooms,” Janine said.
