Rival schools clash at sports festival
Trinityhouse hosted their annual Winter Sports Festival for an action packed day of sports.
Various schools flocked to Trinityhouse Little Falls on Saturday morning, March 8, for their annual Winter Sports Festival.
The sports festival featured various sporting codes like hockey, netball and rugby, with teams ranging from U14 to U18 and open participating against one another.

Parents, staff, coaches, and learners made their way to the sports grounds to showcase their athleticism in hopes of proudly scoring a win for their school. While the field, astro and courts were occupied, spectators could indulge in boerierolls and delicious treats and soft drinks.

The most prominent sporting moment was the open rugby teams going head-to-head against one another, with Trinityhouse, The King’s School West Rand and Randfontein High teams fighting for that win while having a large crowd rooting for them.
Trinityhouse head of sport Agri Zondi praised the staff, coaches, umpires, technical team, and referees for their hard work officiating the matches throughout the day.
“We had a really busy day, but I am so glad it went well.”
The schools came with a mission to win, which created a healthy competitive energy among the learners.
“I would like to thank the schools for joining us for our annual sports day. We love hosting, and we hope that we can continue more sports festivals,” Agri said.
