On May 27, the selected schools which participated were Constantia Kloof, Laerskool Culembeeck, Lantern School, Laerskool Roodebeeck and Florida Primary School, featuring U12 and U13 teams. The first matches saw both teams from Constantia Kloof dominating their competing teams with a 31–1 win from the U13s and a 20–0 win from the U12s against Roodebeeck and Lantern.

Culembeeck remained determined to intercept every single ball for a turnover despite their team being unable to score a single goal in the first half. Although they had a head start, the defenders could not stop the consistency from both the shooters, whose accuracy carried the team to a 21–0 win. Teams shook hands at the end of the matches and congratulated one another, showing great sportsmanship.

“Both teams played exceptionally well this season, and we wish them all the best for the upcoming interdistrict championships. We have to train extra hard now, as the competition will be tough, but I have faith that they will do their best,” Adri says.
