Roodies learner in need of help
The learner was severely injured during a violent clash between learners from West Ridge High.
Hoërskool Roodepoort has started a donation drive for a learner who was injured during a violent clash between other learners of West Ridge High School in August.
According to Aletheia Louw, Roodepoort’s marketing officer, the learner was not physically involved in any fight and was innocently hit with a metal object, leading to his jaw being dislocated and his teeth being removed.

She added that the learner is still in the hospital recovering and is in desperate need of implants and is unable to eat solid food.
“We are reaching out to the community for support, whether through food donations [soft or liquid-based] or monetary contributions to assist his family during this difficult time,” she said, adding that they are grateful for the support they’ve received so far.
