He then competed in the Roodepoort Individual Tournament at Crawford International, where he earned two points and qualified for the D12 Championships.
At the district tournament held at HoĆ«rskool Roodepoort early in May, Luquen faced strong opposition from some of the region’s top-ranked schools. Despite the challenging and lengthy matches, he remained focused, determined and resilient throughout the competition.
