Johannesburg Masters league resumes
The Masters drew first blood and showed hunger early in the first stanza, with hitman Mandla proving to be a menace to the visitor’s defensive structure.
Roodepoort West Masters remained unbeaten in the Mini Fridays Soccer League before all league matches were put on hold earlier this year in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
However, fixtures resumed on Friday, 6 November and the Roodepoort outfit did battle at home with a tough to beat Legends side that came determined to claim maximum points.
The Masters drew first blood and showed hunger early in the first stanza, with hitman Mandla proving to be a menace to the visitor’s defensive structure.

The match opener came sooner than it was expected when the home side broke the deadlock to lead what was to be the only time during the match.
The Legends responded in no time to equalise and took control of the rest of the first half while initiating a convoy of dangerous attacks that proved to be lethal to the Masters’ defence.
The first match since lockdown saw the home side go down to a more organised and rather younger Masters side that looked to improve their position on the log.
The next fixture for the Masters will see them doing battle away with a tough Emergency Services (EMS) side on 13 November in Ennerdale.
