Golf day for victims of child and women abuse

The golfers had such a fun day as the Highveld thunderstorms stayed away and all of them were able to finish their round.

On Thursday, 26 November, Absolut Security hosted their annual Golf Day in aid of Pixie Pink Victim Activist at Ruimsig Country Club.

The event day saw an impressive turnout with 132 golfers taking to the fairways in support of a worthy cause.

Corporates within the community made the day even more enjoyable with sponsored watering holes and prizes.

Pixie Pink Victim Activist is an organisation that assists victims of child and women abuse.

Being directly immersed in the crime industry for about 32 years, Pixie Pink recognised that ordinary crime-combating or merely reacting after a crime had been committed was not enough to assist women and children in need.

A portal was therefore created for their voices to be heard and assistance to be provided.

During the prize-giving and dinner, MC Pieter Möller entertained the golfers with jokes and stories, and was a hit with the crowd when auctioning off items.

Pieter proved to be a legend in his field and ensured that the prize-giving function was a success, with all the proceeds of the auction going to Pixie Pink Victim Activist.
