Panorama Running Club laces up for 2021

Andrew Morrison-Young will again lead the club as chairperson throughout the coming year.

Even the metronomic art of road running requires a time and place to address administrative formalities.

Panorama Running Club held their 2021 annual general meeting at Education Through Soccer (ETS) on Saturday, 20 February. The 27-year-old running club used the morning to discuss the club’s vision and listen to a specialist training workshop by IHF Product’s Sean Woolnough. IHF Products specialises in coaching, training data and workout analysis tools for endurance athletes.

Special guests on the day were Palesa and Justice Mofokeng from the Queen Butterfly Foundation. The couple brought along a special gift from the children of the centre as a thank you for the running club’s support. “I hope you hang this with pride, as this comes from the hearts of our children. Just know that every time you look at this, you see a small part of Queen Butterfly,” said Palesa to the club members.

The shining lights that will guide Panorama Running Club in 2021 will be chairperson Andrew Morrison-Young with Cobus Venter serving as both vice-chairperson and club captain. Counting the cents will be treasurer Nokuthula Mokgele, while Retha Grobler and Zoe Makola handle the secretary and social media marketing roles, respectively.
