Triple Threat Dojo cleans up at RCFA Awards
Triple Threat Dojo fighters cleaned up at the recent RCFA awards for achievements in the ring during 2023.
Triple Threat Dojo kickboxers cleaned up at the recent Ring Contact Fight Arts International (RCFAI) Awards, held to honour fighters for their achievements during 2023.
According to sensei Wade Rendall, his fighters and coaching staff fared excellently, winning 85% of their fights in 2023, and just barely missing out on taking the much sought-after Club of the Year title.
Rendall showed that he is a coach to be reckoned with, winning the coveted Coach of the Year award for producing an astounding five South African champions, one-millennium belt holder, and three world champions at the WKO Kickboxing World Championships.
Brett Heslop, who won two divisions at the South African Championships, one gold at the WKO World Kickboxing Championships and a millennium belt title during 2023, was named as the top senior male fighter. He was also nominated in the Best Overall Athlete of the Year category.
Chloe Assad took the title of the Best Junior Fighter of the Year after winning the South African Championships and two gold medals at the WKO World Kickboxing Championships in 2023.
Thando Mahlangu was named the Best Senior Male Full Contact Fighter of the Year for securing a knockout at a main event, and Rachelle Seyfferdt secured a nomination in the Best Senior Female Fighter of the Year, as well as a nomination for the Best Overall Athlete of the Year categories for winning five of her seven fights last year.
Camielle Goldstone took home the Best Senior Female Fighter of the Year award for winning the SA Championships and also for her two gold medals at the kickboxing championships. She was also nominated in the Best Overall Fighter of the Year category.
According to Rendall, Triple Threat is very proud that their hard work during the past year has paid off, and they are looking forward to even more achievements in the coming year.
