Young Trinity soccer stars earn national U17 call-up
Double the pride and talent: Trinityhouse soccer players were on fire at the SAFA men's U17 selection camp.
Two talented soccer players from Trinityhouse Little Falls were selected to take part in the prestigious South African Football Association (SAFA) men’s U17 selection camp, which took place earlier in June.
This achievement highlights the school’s commitment to nurturing young talent and promoting a culture of sporting excellence.
Braiythe Moffit and Callum Kruger trained alongside some of the country’s top youth players and left a strong impression at the camp, potentially earning themselves a spot in the final national team squad. With the support of their coaches, teammates and families, both players have secured places in the South African U17 Men’s Preliminary Squad.

The purpose of the selection camp was to identify and develop players born between 2009 and 2010, preparing them to represent South Africa in international competitions as part of the 2026 FIFA squad cycle.
“As a school, we are proud of our athletes, as we know they’ve put in endless hours of training to achieve this success,” said Agri Zondi, the school’s head of sports.
In addition to making their school proud, Braiythe and Callum have become role models for their peers, proving that talent, dedication and hard work can turn sporting dreams into reality.
Agri also shared his hopes for the players.
“To always present themselves with pride and dedication, always hoping that they can reach even higher heights.”
Reflecting on what this means for the school, he added, “This opportunity will motivate other young players to reach their full potential. To be honest, all I want is to see my players at a national level in all different divisions.”
