According to Romeo Kroats, chairperson of the club, the pigeons typically take between eight to 10 hours to return home, with their journey heavily influenced by wind direction.

After the race, when the pigeons had clocked back into their loft, the results were impressive. For Beaufort West, the first four positions were claimed by members of the Horizon Pigeon Club, while from Leeu Gamka, the club’s members secured fifth and sixth place overall.
