Riders take spotlight at festival

This was a weekend of fun, and every jump brought memorable moments and lessons for the riders.

The equestrians from Glover Paddocks Equestrian Club made their stables proud at the Maple Ridge Spring Festival that was held at the end of September. The event brought together riders of all levels to show off their skills and enjoy some friendly competition.

In the 1.30m class, Chris Prinsloo and Classique jumped some excellent rounds. They had a pole down in each round, but their rides were strong and confident, and the crowd cheered them on.

In the 1m class, Chante Grobler and Chase were getting back into competition mode. Despite a few learning rounds, they were able to win a clear round, which was a significant accomplishment. Anika Grobler and Fly were new to this level, and they improved significantly with every ride, culminating in a strong collaboration at the end of the competition.

Angie Grab riding Wally achieved two great placings in the 90cm class, leaping with confidence and showing that they were prepared for the tough competition.

The festival was about growing, learning, and having fun with your horse for the riders, more than being just about winning.
