Panorama FC dominate mini festival

From early kickoffs to medal celebrations, the day was one to remember for each member of the teams present.

The field at Panorama Primary School was buzzing with excitement on Sunday, October 26, as young soccer players participated in the school’s Soccer Mini Festival.

The event, organised by sports analyst Elson Mabhena and coach Sakhile Gumede, brought together Panorama Primary U13 and U12, Cosmo City Warriors U13, and Panorama Football Club’s (FC) U13 players to compete against each other.

Parents came out in numbers to support their children as they played, sitting under shaded tents. The match official arrived early, inspected the fields, and gave the go-ahead for play to start.

The first match between Panorama Primary U13 and Panorama FC U13 was a close one, ending in a 3–3 draw. It was another even battle between the two rivals, who also drew 5–5 in their last meeting earlier this year. Cosmo City Warriors U13 then showed great form, defeating Panorama Primary U12 by 3–0.

After several exciting games, Panorama FC finished top of the table with seven points, making them the champions of the festival. Cosmo City Warriors followed closely with six points.

Diego Richards from Panorama FC was named player of the tournament, Ori van Wyk from Cosmo City Warriors and Nqobile Tshuma from Panorama Primary were named top goal scorers.

“This has been an exciting day for the kids and the parents who came to support the boys,” Elson Mabhena said.
