Panorama FC wins over Sundowns FC

Fans held their breath until the very end, and the last-minute goal came as a surprise.

Panorama Football Club (Panorama FC) claimed the Rand Central Local Football Association (RCLFA) Cup Championship after defeating Sundowns FC 1–0 in the U13 final at Trezona Park on November 2.
The winning goal was scored in the final minutes of play and sealed a finish to the tightly contested match.

Throughout the game, both teams showed strong defensive structures and attacking skills. Despite both teams trying to score goals and several chances missed by both teams, the first half ended without any goals. As full time approached, Panorama FC’s Reratilwe Ramoshaba broke the deadlock with a decisive strike. Sundowns FC pushed for an equaliser, but Panorama FC’s defence remained tight until the final whistle.

Panorama FC coach Nare Sekoakoa praised his players’ commitment after the match.

“All glory to God for allowing us to display our talents. We took on a team with a lot of talent and experience, but we showed that hard work and belief can win you anything. This one belongs to the players and everyone who supported us,” he said.

Sports analyst Elson Mabhena highlighted the team’s growing reputation, noting their earlier success in the Engen Champ of Champs U18 tournament, where they defeated Kaizer Chiefs in the final.

“Now they have beaten the trophy holders, Sundowns, to become champions,” he said.

Standout players were honoured before the trophy handover, and Dakalo Nemakanga received the player of the season award, while Murendeni Annene was named the Most Improved Player.

This victory stands as an addition to what has been a highly successful season for the team, with the club continuing to make its mark on the youth football scene in Gauteng.
