Cyclists invited to ride for a cause at Bell of Hope charity event

This year’s The Bell of Hope ride aims to raise vital funds for Ebenezer Psychiatric Home while challenging stigma around mental illness.

Ebenezer Psychiatric Home’s well-known charity ride, The Bell of Hope, returns this April, with cyclists invited to support a good cause.

The ride will take place on Sunday, April 12, at CirqlarBidon, in aid of the home – a non-profit organisation that cares for adults living with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.

According to Kerry von Buddenbrock, the event is a long-standing fundraising initiative, with this year marking its 14th consecutive edition.

“All proceeds go directly towards maintaining and running the home. We rely heavily on donations from the community as well as the corporate sector,” she said.

She added that the ride also aims to raise awareness about mental health, with a focus on educating the public about bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, while addressing common misconceptions and stigma associated with these conditions.
