Strubens’ pub celebrates St Patrick’s Day

Residents celebrate St Patricks Day with a vibrant mix of rich cultural traditions, and the heartwarming spirit of Irish community.

Residents gathered at The Irish Rock on March 14 to celebrate St Patrick’s Day, honouring the patron saint of Ireland with traditional festivities, music and plenty of green attire.

The local pub hosted its annual celebration as part of the global observance of Irish culture. The venue was decorated in green while patrons enjoyed Irish music, dancing and traditional food.

According to Theresa, St Patrick’s Day remains one of the pub’s biggest annual celebrations.

She told the Roodepoort Northsider the venue also hosts events supporting local charities, animal rescues and families in need, including charity quiz nights, fundraising drives and blood donation campaigns.

“The club has become a driving force behind many of the pub’s charitable initiatives, organising events that encourage community members to get involved while raising much-needed funds,” she said.
