Momoniat obtained top marks in all eight of his subjects, including a notable 95 percent for mathematics and 84 percent for advanced programme mathematics.
Another star of the school who was selected as part of the top-100 during the provincial acceptance round at the University of the Witwatersrand was Fatima Davids. Davids achieved seven distinctions in all of her subjects including phenomenal results in subjects traditionally considered to be male dominated. She obtained 96 percent for engineering graphics and design, 98 percent for mathematics, 92 percent for physical sciences, and 96 percent for life sciences.
Other top achievers with six distinctions were Sameel Ambaram, Mohammed Shezaad Cassim, Hishaam Khan, and Sanil Lala.
Jade Peters, Jealon Forbay, Ahmed Karani and Lerato Mashishi achieved five distinctions each.
A total of 96 percent of the class of 2014 is eligible for higher education, and 22 distinctions were obtained for accounting pupils alone.
