Roedean School wows with Matric results

ROSEBANK – The matric class of 2015 at Roedean School achieved a spectacular 100 percent pass rate and a 100 percent University entrance pass rate.

 

From a total of 69 girls, 250 distinctions were achieved with an average of 3.6 distinctions per candidate.

Four students, Nimisha Bhutt, Paula Chappel, Jessica Gaynor and Lushmika Morar, were ranked in the top 5 percent of IEB learners in five subjects or more while seven more students were ranked within the top 1 percent of IEB learners in one or more of the following subjects:

Accounting

English Home Language

History

Life Orientation

Mathematics

Mathematical Literacy

Students Chariklia Martalas and Claudia Smith achieved this honour in two or more subjects.

Eight distinctions were achieved by Nimisha Bhutt, Klara Doubell, Lushmika Morar, Natasha Tenderini and Kita Von Willich.

Seven distinctions were achieved by Paula Chappel, Jessica Gaynor, Kayla Gild, Sonia Nana and Claudia Smith while Alice de Beer, Tyla Jacobs and Jennifer Murray raked up six distinctions.

Five distinctions were awarded to Alexandra Bantock, Hannah Behrens, Fatima Bham, Raeesa Bham, Emily Challis, Carly Garmany, Claudia Govetto, Kirsten Graves, Catherine Jackson, Hapiloe Mzaidume, Lebogang Sekhukhune, Boitumelo Thobejane, Emma Veysie and Nadia Wildt.

Four distinctions were achieved by Naseerah Laher, Chariklia Martalas, Zandizoloyiso Nduvane, Gina Niven, Bayanda Nyoka, Christie Reeves, Uvira Singh and Alexandra van Eeden while three distinctions were awarded to Ziya Bipath, Ann Clarke, Naledi Frazier, Sungano Kanjere, Andrea Maree and Mpho Mojela.

Two distinctions were achieved by Aaliyah Buksh, Sejal Dulabh, Tofah Gaibie, Tamryn-Lee Hannington, Vonani Lubisi, Ntokozo Mayekiso, Amy-Faye Olley, Rofhiwa Ralinala, Itumeleng Setipa, Shingisai Tengende, Imani Waweru and Jessica Wolmarans.

One distinction was awarded to Thandiwe Bvurere, Zuzile Ganda, Shubhangi Gupta, Savanna Hinis, Stephanie Hoole, Mila Jardine, Fabiana Katz, Moloko Kganyago, Masechaba Mosena, Mashudu Ramaphosa, Kegomoditswe Rampa, Ashleigh Stoger and Andrea Theron.

Headmistress Mary Williams congratulated the pupils on their exceptional results and indicated that they were a testament to the pupils’ diligence and willingness to learn. She also sent thanks out to all the teachers, on behalf of the students, for their unfailing devotion to education.
