High 5 brings hope and heart to Holy Family College
A powerful mix of music, movement, and meaning left pupils inspired and smiling at Holy Family College.
The nationally acclaimed High 5 show brought its unique brand of theatre to Holy Family College in Parktown on September 9.
Far from being just another performance, the 55-minute production offered pupils a toolkit for navigating the challenges of growing up in a fast-paced, digital world.
With its lively blend of storytelling, music, and movement, High 5 delivered more than entertainment, it gave children, aged eight to eleven, practical strategies to cope with stress, anxiety, and bullying.

At its heart were five superpowers every child can carry with them: kindness, resilience, bravery, safety, and individuality.
Teacher Claire Rees reflected warmly on the impact of the show, saying: “It was lovely to have High 5 here today. It was a wonderful performance which taught the children five very important superpowers for them to have.
I think in this day and age, where they have many troubles that we don’t always see, it’s important for them to remember those five things, especially that they are unique, loved, and safe. Those are the values we try to teach them every day too.”
For the pupils, the message was simple, but powerful: Being yourself is a superpower worth celebrating.
