A run for cancer
ORANGE GROVE - Jewish community talk radio station 101.9 ChaiFM and cancer organisation DL Link announced they were forming a team to run in the Jerusalem Marathon.
The team of runners is hoping to raise money for a cancer patient.
DL Link is a cancer awareness and fundraising organisation which partners with volunteers and specialised services to provide a comfortable space where patients can share their experiences, gain strength, hope and support for each other.
The station’s marketing manager said, “The station also recognises what a daunting challenge it can be to fight a disease of this nature and as such is stepping forward to assist in the fight, not only for the people tackling the disease but also for the survivors who are racing onwards every day.”
The marathon will take place on 21 March and will take runners through picturesque views of the city.
Team DL Link will participate in the 10km, 21.1km and 42.2km races.
