Springbok spirit takes over Melrose Arch

Melrose Arch turned green, gold, and very loud.

If rugby had its own love language, South Africans would be fluent in it.

That passion was on full display at Melrose Arch Piazza on August 23, where fans packed the Rugby Fan Park to cheer on the Springboks against Australia.

The place was buzzing, voices cracking from chants, and plenty of people were watching the game while barely staying in their seats.

Every try turned the Piazza into a mini-stadium, with strangers high-fiving like old friends.

One fan shouted, “There’s no DNA in my blood, just RSA,” and honestly, the whole crowd seemed to agree.
