RKC Dojo kicks off 2026 with expanded training and international expertise

A new schedule, visiting international senseis, and growing interest across age groups signal a strong start to the year for the RKC Dojo and its wider martial arts community.

The RKC Dojo entered 2026 with renewed momentum, rolling out an updated training schedule, welcoming new instructors, and recording a sharp increase in student enrolment across all age groups.

On January 24, new students enjoyed a revised timetable, which allowed them more structured and extended practice in the dojo’s three core disciplines: kendo, Iaido, and jodo.

According to RKC Dojo founder Warren Ho, the changes were made to support deeper learning and consistent progression.

“Our goal with the new schedule is to give students more meaningful time on the floor. These arts require repetition, focus, and patience, and the structure now reflects that.”

Further strengthening the dojo’s offering, RKC will host several international senseis in the coming months.

Instructors from Australia, Japan, the Netherlands, and Switzerland are expected to lead workshops and training sessions across all three disciplines.

“Exposure to different senseis is critical for growth.

It challenges students, broadens perspective, and strengthens the overall standard of practice within the dojo and the wider community.”

Ho explained that, behind the scenes, RKC instructors are also undergoing national compliance checks, safety training, and mentorship programmes to ensure they meet teaching and safeguarding standards.

“We take responsibility seriously. Being technically skilled is not enough. Our instructors must also be compliant, safe, and capable mentors.”
