Little hands search high and low for hidden Easter eggs

Curious minds at Montrose Pre Primary School scoured the playground for hidden eggs as the school hosted its annual Easter Hunt event.

Montrose Pre-Primary School hosted its annual Easter Hunt on March 26, bringing together learners, teachers, and the spirit of giving in a heartwarming celebration.

The learners took to the school’s playground, searched high and low for Easter eggs hidden across the grounds.

Giggles were loud as little hands went behind trees and under play equipment to find the hidden eggs. Each discovery was met with proud smiles.

A highlight of the day was the much-loved visit from the Easter Bunny. While many children ran up with excitement to hug their fluffy guest, others were a bit more hesitant, choosing to admire from a distance.

Beyond the fun and festivities, the event carried a deeper purpose.

This year, the school collected about 60 boxes of Easter eggs brought by learners, which will be donated to local charities, Forever Friends and One Small Act of Kindness.

The school principal Fiona Niemand said, “We have been working together with these two charities for years and we have seen the impact they have had in the communities. The boxes of Easter eggs brought by learners will be donated to them.

They will then distribute them to orphanages, old age homes and other needy organisations.”

“Our Easter Hunt is not just about fun, it’s about giving back. We are doing it for the community with the love of sharing with others.”
