Buccleuch interchange closed after shots fired on N3/M1 split
Authorities have shut down the N3 north split to the M1 South/Woodmead offramp at Buccleuch interchange following reports of shots being fired.
Motorists are being advised to avoid the Buccleuch interchange after an active crime scene was reported, leading to the closure of key ramps on June 25.
The incident alert was sent at 14:00: “The active crime scene on the N3 north at Buccleuch interchange impacts traffic towards Johannesburg (M1) and Midrand/Pretoria (N1) from East Rand areas.”

Motorists are urged to exercise caution and avoid the interchange entirely.
