Sandton women raise funds

SANDTON – The Ladies Circle South Africa is made up of wome between the ages of 18 and 45 who enjoy serving the community and building friendships.

Members of the Sandton Ladies Circle 24 joined their fellow national circle members for a fun day of bowls and fundraising.

The Sandton members, together with the Ladies Circles of Benoni, Edenvale, Witbank and Northridge, hosted a successful side-by-side bowls day in Benoni to raise funds for Ladies Circle South Africa’s national service project, the Handicapped Scuba Crew.

The Handicapped Scuba Crew is a non-profit organisation dedicated to changing people’s lives by using scuba as a rehabilitation method.

According to Sandton Ladies Circle 24’s Nicola Ferreira, it was beautiful to see people come together to achieve a common goal and making a difference.

“People from all over Johannesburg and the East Rand supported the fundraiser and had fun playing bowls.”

At the end of the day, the collective were able to raise R10 000 for the Handicapped Scuba Crew.
