As the Wanderers Ladies T10 tournament progresses, cricket enthusiasts can anticipate more enthralling encounters.

In a high-stakes cricket match that unfolded at the Wanderers Ladies T10 tournament on September 25, the Africa Cricket Academy locked horns with the formidable Soweto Cricket Club.

Creating a spectacle that stirred excitement and ignited fervent debate among fans and pundits alike, the academy suffered a narrow defeat.

According to the brand manager of SA Cricket Academy (the governing body of Africa Cricket Academy) Amos Maungwa, the academy entered the contest ranked second in the group and faced a daunting challenge against the table-topping Soweto.

“As the match unfolded, it became clear that this contest was more than just a game, it was a test of skill, mettle, and even destiny,” said Maungwa.

Maungwa added that once again, the academy’s Fay Cowling stole the limelight with her awe-inspiring knock, terrorising the opposition with a display of ferocity that showcased her ability to single-handedly alter the course of a match.

“The academy continues to assert its dominance in the tournament, boasting the most significant representation in both the batting and bowling rankings.”

He concluded Cowling and Bianca Botha shone brightly in the tournament rankings.
