Fatalities rise to five as investigation continues
The number of people that have died following a fire that was allegedly started by the boyfriend of Mampe Patricia Mokoena (44) in zone 13 has risen to five.
SEBOKENG. -The number of people that have died following a fire that was allegedly started by the boyfriend of Mampe Patricia Mokoena (44) in zone 13 has risen to five.
Vanderbijlpark Spokesperson Sergeant Getrude Makhale says, “We can confirm as the SAPS that the 59-year-old man was found by the SAPS in Soweto on Monday and is being questioned by our detectives. We would like to thank our community and the media for your assistance in this matter.”
Mampe Patricia Mokoena (44), her daughter Innocentia Mokoena(17), her niece Lesego Candity Sebe(5) died on the scene while Mampe’s Grand-daughter Lebohang Mokoena (5-months) and her mother Monzo Mokoena(20)succumbed to death after being hospitalised. The only surviving victim is Michael Mokoena(63) who is said to be doing better in hospital.
