Two rapists, two women, one room

Two suspects raped two women in the same room at the Crossroads informal settlement in Khutsong on 20 May. The victims had apparently just arrived home from a tavern in the area and had gone to bed. They had closed the door with a chain but had not locked the padlock. While they were sleeping, two unknown suspects forcefully opened the door and entered the shack. One of the men pulled one of the victims onto the floor and ordered her to undress. The suspects, who were not masked, raped the women and, before leaving, promised they would return. No one has been arrested in connection with the incident.
