Six people were injured this morning after a truck and taxi collided on the Boy Louw Road in Vereeniging.

Six people were injured this morning after a truck and taxi collided on the Boy Louw Road in Vereeniging.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene and found both vehicles in the middle of the road, both lying on their sides.

On closer inspection, paramedics found that all the patients had come from the taxi.

On assessment, paramedics found that the six occupants had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious or fatal injuries were reported on the scene.

Paramedics treated the patients for their injuries and thereafter transported them to Kopanong, as well as another provincial hospital.

Both occupants from the truck escaped injury.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
