Midvaal/Sicelo protests end

Sicelo and Midvaal returned to the peaceful place it once was before it was engulfed in protests not so long ago.

This came after Gauteng MEC of human settlement Paul Mashatile met with the deputy of Executive Mayor of Midvaal municipality councillor Bongane Baloyi.

After a brief meeting, he Mashatile was joined by the Sedibeng MMC for Velky Mcera, MEC of public safety, Sedibeng District mayor Busi Modisakeng and the Gen. MMC and addressed the community of Sicelo. Mashatile stated that the government will build a minimum of 5 000 houses in Silahliwe and surrounding areas, however was not specific about when the project would start.
